Lyons Mechanical Services (Lyons) had the honor of visiting Barren County Area Technology Center’s
(BCATC) for the 2025 SkillsUSA Signing Day. This special occasion marked a significant milestone in our growing partnership with BCATC, as we welcomed two talented students into full-time positions with our team. Both students are part of the school’s HVAC-R program and represent the future of our industry.
Lyons is proud to partner with BCATC’s HVAC-R, Electrical, and Welding programs to provide hands-on training, job shadowing, apprenticeships, and cooperative learning experiences for students pursuing technical careers.
This collaboration is built on strong relationships with administrators, instructors, and students. Our goal is to cultivate a pipeline of skilled, career-ready individuals who are equipped to meet the demands of today’s workforce. Through open and ongoing communication, BCATC instructors gain real-time insight into industry needs, allowing them to better prepare their students for success.
Since launching this partnership during the 2023–2024 school year, Lyons has actively participated in career fairs, industry nights, signing day events, and awards ceremonies. We also hosted an on-site “lunch and learn” session to further engage with students and showcase opportunities within the trades.
As we look toward the 2025–2026 school year, we’re excited to continue building on this momentum. Together, we are committed to empowering students and strengthening the connection between technical education and a successful future in the skilled trades.
