Todd Pardue Achieves Certified Energy Manager Status – May 8, 2006
Todd Pardue, Lyons Company Project Manager, has received notice of achieving Certified Energy Manager status. This credential is added to Todd’s knowledge and hands-on experience in the operation and maintenance of mechanical systems in industrial facilities. Lyons Company is available to assist customers in analyzing energy consumption and formulating recommendations to reduce these costs. |
Lyons Company Completes Landfill Gas Project – April 25, 2006
Lyons Company recently completed its second landfill gas project at Pearl Hollow Landfill in Hardin County, Kentucky. Owned and operated by East Kentucky Power, this facility uses methane, naturally produced by the decomposition of landfill waste, to drive three 800-kw generators. The electricity generated is placed on the EKP grid as a source of renewable, environmentally friendly power. |
Jason Pugh Meets With Builder of Freedom Tower – April 11, 2006
Jason Pugh, a Lyons Company employee on the Berea College Central Energy Plant Project, recently spent time with John Whitehead discussing the construction of Freedom Tower. Jason, a Berea College graduate, served as an Ambassador to Mr. Whitehead prior to graduation at which Mr. Whitehead spoke on the topic of being a leader. The structure will be constructed on the site of the 9/11 World Trade Towers crash site and receive power from both wind and solar resources in unobstructed air at a height of 1,776 feet.
